Investing In Volunteers
Memberships & Donations
The Voluntary Care Centre is core funded by the Borough of Lewisham, but relies on individual support to enable us to offer the best possible service to people in the local community.

Individual Membership

Membership is one of the ways that we are able to do this, and ensures that the community is involved in the direction and decision making of the organisation.

Individual Membership is only £10 per year. Becoming a member ensures that you are kept informed of the activities of the Centre throughout the year; receive newsletters and invitations to events including the Annual General Meeting (AGM). You will also be entitled to vote on issues concerning the Centre at the AGM, which is normally held on the last Thursday in June.

Donations

The Voluntary Care Centre operates a fund that is supported by local churches, schools, businesses, individual donations and fundraising activities to enable us to carry out the following services:
  • Supporting disadvantaged children and families, vulnerable adults, individuals or groups at risk in our area. We achieve this by providing childrens’ safety equipment, resources to relieve poverty and financial assistance to help in crisis situations.
  • Day trips for Children/families and the elderly.
  • Support for the Grove Centre Social Club.
Every donation makes a difference to the service we are able to provide and is greatly appreciated. As this is a segregated fund, 100% of your donation goes directly to helping people in need.
